Winter Fun

We load up in the car...
off to the dog park for a good run

"With the wind chill it feels like 4 below"
...the radio taunts me...

The back seat passengers don't mind at all
They've been waiting for this...
for what seems like weeks to them, I'm sure
(it's only been a couple days)

I remind them they need to pack as much fun as possible into a short period of time,
before we all freeze to death.
I guess sometimes freezing to death is worth it...

Ok, so it's not technically my first video. But, it's the first video I made all by myself from scratch rather than just letting the Flip program do all the work.

Winter holds no appeal for me anymore

they run with pure joy
Bailey bunny-hops with his age, but it doesn't stop him
Lilly tries to herd him, stops when seen...
drops to the snow and stalks
there's no mistaking her Border Collie-like moves

She's lost her snow white color, almost looks red in some spots
it's very apparent against the white snow



I'm trying to learn to make better videos
could be fun...
or extremely irritating
I'd like to get together all of my favorite pics
Production could take a while...
it would be worth it

Day before Thanksgiving Baths

Everybody wants to be nice and fresh at Grandma's house for Thanksgiving tomorrow so there were baths all around.
And of course, baths were followed by one of my favorite things...

Halloween Sleepyheads

I went to a Halloween party with Deanne and Nate this year.
They had two dogs: Valentine and Mistletoe...bet ya can't guess what time of year each of them was adopted. :o)
They didn't make it to the end of the party...

No vancany...

So, I get home from work and after checking my e-mail and getting something to drink, I head for bed...this is what I see when I turn on the bedroom light...

"Sorry Mom, no vacancies...and for god sakes, would you turn the light off!"

Grandma comes to the dog park...

It was beautiful outside so we decided to go to the dog park for a nice run. Grandma came with - her first time at the dog park.

When we got there, a great big black Great Dane was at the park on the big dog side. Grandma was afraid of him, so we hung out in the little dog side for a bit. Then after the "naughty dogs" left, we went over to the big dog side and Bailey and Lilly ran their little tails off with a couple yellow labs. It's so nice that the beautiful fall weather is holding on just a little longer.




Apparently, yesterday, I had to go to class so we couldn't go with Deanne, Nate, Molly, and Daisy to the dog park. Later Deanne told me we missed "cute dog park guy". DAMN!

Last night was Zach's first birthday party.

Who doesn't love a kid covering his face with cake?

Morning person...

I'm not a morning person anymore...I used to be. Not really sure what happened with that.
Maybe it's that I'm just not a 3-o-clock-in-the-morning person.

Lilly, however, is a ball of fire in the morning. One of these days I'm hoping to catch some of her "wake up mom" noises. I'm not sure what exactly they sound like...but it's sure not dog...or earthly!

Lilly is definitely a morning person...well, morning dog...

New video camera...

I'm kinda new to the whole blog thing. Mostly because I'm not all about sharing my business with the world. However, my dogs don't seem to mind me sharing their business with the world (and if they do, there's really not much they can say about it)...lol.
I got a new flip video camera today. So far it seems pretty cool.
So, that's probably what my blog will consist of...videos depicting days in the life of my mutts. Hence the title.
Because, well, a day in their lives is pretty much what my life consists of anyway. :o)
