About Me... and my mutts.

I love dogs. They kinda control my life. I wouldn't have it any other way.

I live in Wisconsin... the frozen tundra... I'm not always sure how I feel about that. Mushing might preserve my sanity.

I love to take pictures, but I'm not always all that good at it.
I am a weekend kitchen warrior, but I'm not always so good at that either.
I'm a treehugger. I don't apologize for it.

I have a degree in Environmental Policy & Planning but I have yet to get a "real job".

Words I try to live by:

De Omnibus Dubitandum

I have a German Shepherd mix named Bailey. He was a complete mess when I got him. He's taught me darn near everything I know. Everything important, anyway. Our lives together have been quite the adventure. We're lucky to have each other. Bailey will be 13 in May.

I have an Alaskan Husky-type mix named Lilly. She's one of the sweetest dogs I know, and a total Mama's girl who adores me (which I completely love). She is the first dog I will have the opportunity to compete with and we're having a blast giving Rally a try. Lilly is approximately 5 this year.

Mendel is the new guy in the pack. Named after Gregor Mendel, the father of genetics, he's my first show dog. He's teaching me a number of things including: handling in conformation, grooming a dog with serious coat, and remembering to pick my crap up off the floor on a regular basis. You're liable to be inundated by cute pictures of him should you decide to stick around.

I have two cats, Tigger and Leo, who try my patience... daily.
